I enjoyed the story of troubleshooter Brett Rutland being sent to find out who is embezzling Carter Engineering. His prime suspect was Tessa Conway, the firm's accountant. Inspite of his suspicions, he still fell for her and now he has to face the challenge of whether to turn her in or not and put away the woman he loves. Good easy read and hot romance.

This is a re-release of an old book that was not that good in the first place.

An early Linda Howard. Story of Brett Rutland who is sent to LA to find out who has been embezzling funds from the company he works for. He meets and falls quickly for bookkeeper Tessa Conway but she soon becomes his prime suspect. Pretty quick read but definitely dated!
