I thought this book had better potential than it actually was. For the length of the book I expected more information on the characters. This is also a start of a series of books concerning 3 friends.

All in all this book reminds me of one of those days where you were moving non stop but when someone asks you what you did - you can't really say what you did or show that anything was accomplished. A lot of reading with not a lot to show for it..

This book had so much potential, but I found myself very disappointed. The idea behind the story is a good one, but the heroine was not developed well and I saw no growth or backbone to her at all. There was a lot of fluff in the first half of the book and I too many "Oh My Gawd's".

The only time I found myself enjoying the book was when the hero's family was involved. The mystery in the story was clear to see from the beginning and was resolution was pretty weak.

I may read the other two when they come out just for the fact they were stronger characters in this story than Jane was!

What appears to be the first in a trilogy about three best friends who inherit a mansion, this is a return to Andersen's Exposure or Obsession era.

Strong story line, good characters and lots of sizzle!

Yay, Andersen, for returning to your roots!!

A really quick and easy read. A bad first impression and things go down hill from there. Even though she thinks him a sloppy drunk, the chemistry is there and from the get go sparks fly . This will lift your spirits and ease the cares of the day. Go for it.

I was very irritated at Jane for at least half of the book. Jane comes across very uptight and not very friendly. It was hard to see her as the romantic lead. About halfway through the book that changed. I saw that she was really a worthy love interest and she just had a little more depth than the average female main character. Devlin is sex-on-a-stick from the very beginning. These two characters have an undeniable chemistry, and they both fight it. I love that neither one wants to want the other and they have to deal with that. Cutting Loose also deals with family and how our family shapes the person we become. In Jane's case a family of drama and hysterics has led to her life of order and calm. Dev's families intrusive behavior has led to him living on another continent. The author does a very good job of showing the different family dynamics.

I really enjoyed this romantic comedy, as I love nearly anything that Susan Andersen writes. Laugh out loud moments with sensual overtones. Sexy. Book is in pristine condition with dust jacket. Enjoy!

I found this book delightfully amusing and entertaining, forever a women in power supporter I found the bickering and cutting remarks and behavior amusing and so like what I watch at work and amongst friends of true passion. I great read that I was torn between keeping and posting for others to enjoy! I hope to find more on the other characters of this book!

First in a new trilogy (the Sisterhood Diaries) by Susan Anderson. Jane Kaplinski grew up with dramatic parents who cared more for each other than they did for her. As a consequences she is determined to avoid passion and drama. When she and two friend inherit a mansion and all the antique contents she is thrilled to have a chance to advance her career as museum curator. However, she hasn't counted on meeting contractor Devlin Kavanaugh who is working on the mansion, Dev invokes many feelings that she has been trying to avoid and she is forced to come to terms with her past and with these feelings. Typical Anderson romance with a little bit of intrigue thrown in.
