I really enjoyed this book! Dr. Schwab writes in fascinating detail about his internship and residency in several San Francisco hospitals in the '70's. And he mentioned often the differences between certain surgical procedures he struggled to learn and perfect back then that have changed completely over the years, so it's great to read this book almost as a history of what it was like then, and compared to now. I also found myself laughing out loud from some of his anecdotes. It was well-written and fascinating. A great read for those interested in medicine in general, and what life is like for a surgeon in training.
