This is a 2-fer. 2 stories in 1 book. Not her best work, but still enjoyable.

Dangerous Magic: The "hero" (Wade) is an insufferable, manipulative, egotistical brute who uses blackmail and intimidation against Elissa. His actions border on abusive and he could be termed psychologically abusive. His actions in many scenes are prosecutable, and he would have been subject to being sued for sexual harassment, even by the mores of the time this was first published (1982). Maybe the author set herself a challenge, to see if she could make someone who acts like this lovable. Well, her heroine thinks so, but I do not.
Good lazy day or rainy day reading.

There are two stories in this book. The first one, Dangerous Magic, was not a very good story. The main man was pushy, overbearing, and borderline abusive. I kept wondering why the main woman would put up with this behavior when most women would have closed the door on him long ago. This was an early work for the author and one can tell.
The second story in the book, Affair of Honor, was a LOT better. The story was well done and the characters were likable.
I would recommend this book mainly for the second story and just skip the first.
