When an old friend contacts Willow Foster clandestinely regarding a problem with local lobsters, the assistant attorney general decides to investigate, even if it puts her back in contact with her romantic nemesis Duncan Ross.

Everyone in town knows that Duncan has set his sights on Willow, and there's even a betting pool on the outcome. But Willow has serious commitment issues and is leading Duncan on a merry chase. Events take on an ominous air when Willow realizes that someone has been dumping toxic substances near Thunder Island.

Discovering who's doing this and stopping them becomes a priority, but Willow is up against more than she knows. Whether she likes it or not, Duncan is getting involvedhe's not about to let anyone threaten his future bride.

It's back to Puffin Harbor for the second Foster sister to get her romantic comeuppance. One thing that Chapman does so deftly is meld great characterization, sparkling humor and spicy adventure into a perfect blend. This is rip-roaring good fun!

The battle of wills between Willow and Duncan is outrageous and at times, hysterical and totally romantic. Some parts of this were laugh out loud funny. He is the perfect man and right along with Willow, you couldn't help but fall in love with him. Willow was fiery, tender and easy to relate to. A truly romantic novel with danger, adventure, lobstermen, cops, lawyers. A real round robin of characters.

Janet Chapman does it again. Not as good as the first few books in this series but well worth the read. Really remarkable characters in both Willow and Duncan.

Chapman delivers again in this sexually charged mystery/thriller! If you liked Rachel's story, you'll love her sister Willow's story. It has it all mystery, intrigue, love and a man with a Scottish brogue!

Assistant Attorney General Willow Foster is as committed to protecting Maine's lobster industry as she is to avoiding falling in love. Maine transplant, Scotsman and pub owner Duncan Ross, has her hometown betting on if she'll marry him. As Willow hunts for eco-terrorists, she finds herself caught up in a simultaneous battle with Duncan for her heart.

One of the best romance books I have read this year. I was wondering how Janet Chapman would do with contemporary romance, and this book is just great.

Coastal Maine serves as the appealing backdrop for this charming but clichéd novel of romantic suspense from Chapman (The Seductive Imposter). When a lobsterman alerts state Assistant Attorney General Willow Foster to the presence of contaminants in Puffin Harbor, she begins a secret investigation. She's unofficially assisted by bar owner and former salvager Duncan Ross, whose offers of both marriage and passion she's been resisting since a one-night stand 18 months earlier. As the two explore both the corporate paper trail and the local seascape, Duncan reveals that he's actually a Scottish lord, while Willow is forced to grapple with her fear of commitment. The story's use of old-fashioned romantic conventions often seems silly in this modern context. Corporate polluters call their victims "Miss," while Duncan's sister's Internet lover arrives from New Zealand carrying family heirlooms to ask for permission to court. Chapman's mimicry of Duncan's brogue is also unfortunate, making him sound more like Popeye ("Can ya climb with yar splint?") than an aristocratic adventurer. This novel works best when it focuses on the timeless bonds between friends and family, community and place
