In this book, it's Dante's turn to get set up by his father Cesare. He sends Dante to Brazil to buy a ranch. The ranch is owned by a girl that Dante used to date in NYC. When she was about to tell him she was pregnant he gave her a pair of diamond earrings and broke up with her. She walked out and didn't bother to take the earrings. Now she's living in Brazil and about to lose her ranch to the bank and some beefy ugly guy when Dante arrives. It's very romantic and I loved the ending.
