I do have to say that of all the books of hers so far this one is the best ever. It is a long book, but it is so worth the time. It only took me 4 day to finish it, yes it was that good. You won't even see of sex scene for at least 300 pages and that was cool, since it allowed for a lot of action and fighting going on. You learn a huge plot against the carpaithians that you don't get enough of in any of the other books I think. The carictures are very easy to get close too, and the vampires are easy to hate but you learn a lot of another side of the bloodlines you never knew about. The Mage.
It is a wonderful, exciting book

I love all of Christine Feehan books, so I could be a little prejudice on that score.
This story is about Natalya who is (Carpathian, Mage and Dragonseeker who is the oldest bloodline of the Carpathians). She was also gifted with being part tiger, which she can turn into when she is cornered by the vampires. She also carries a Dragonseeker birthmark, that burns whenever a vampire gets near or in the vacinity of her. Her mage blood line comes from the Carpathians sworn enemy, who stole a Carpathian life mate after killing her lifemate.
She is on the search of a knife and a book that has spells in it that her evil grandfather sealed with the 3 bloods of a Carpathain, Mage and the Dragonseeker) And only 1 who carries all three bloodlines can open this book.
Her lifemate is Vikirnoff who is on his way back to the Carpathian mountains to say goodby to his prince, and to end his life, until he hears her voice inside his head and he sees colors and he gets his emotions back.
In this book near the end, you will read about the power that is written in all her other books. The alligence between Mikhail, and Gregori and all the Carpathians. In this book you will read about why the Prince (Mikhail)is so important to all the Carpathians and their surviveral

After 16 books, what can one say??? Ms. Feehan is somehow able to keep this series fresh with every single book while staying with a tried and true formula - NOT an easy accomplishment. The basics that we all fell in love with (strong, stalkerish alpha-males searching, then finding their lifemates while fighting vampires and assorted other nasties) still runs strong while the particular personalities and situations are unique and entertaining enough to keep us coming back for more.
In "Dark Demon" we follow Vikirnoff and Natalya - both characters we have seen before in previous books, but never together. She has been running and he has been following - well, he finally catches and she is NOT happy! I'm not sure I particularly liked Natalya's personality but I sure enjoyed the infusion of the dragonseeker plot-line along with the mages. It added a new and exciting perspective that will undoubtably keep this series fresh and alive through many books to come

The story of Natalya and Dark Hunter Vikirnoff. I found the character of Natalya annoying with her sassy but arrogant mouth. I know some women may take delight in having a strong female protagonist but does she have to be so sarcastic and demeaning to Vikirnoff? I liked the idea of having a warrior type woman though. She's a perfect match to
Virkirnoff who at first thought that when he met his lifemate she'd be gentle, soft and feminine. It's only until later does he realize that Natalya is the perfect female for him and only gets nervous when she puts herself in dangerous situations. At least Natalya has the training and power to battle evil unlike other heroines in this series who jump into very frighthening situations with no battle skills. Like all of the other Carpathian males, Virkirnoff is hot. The plot has some good twists and turns and there's a mystery also that gets cleared up at the end.

great story! I loved Natalya's constant references to characters on tv and movies which were very funny. Worth the read.

Christine Feehan just gets better and better.
Very good!
AWESOME! Christine Feehan fans will be very satisfied!
Perhaps not as good as the others in the series, it's still a remarkable read. It unlocks some of the secrets of the Carpathians tha have been hidden.
Another good Carpathian novel by Feehan.
Good read in typcial Feehan style. If you like her other Dark books, you will like this one too.
Another great Carpathian book!
A Carpatian tale - "Christine Feehan...delivers the provocative story of a female vampire slayer who proves as seductive--and mysterious--as the night dwellers she stalks..." Natalya has been fighting demons for as long as she remembers. She falls in love with Vikirnoff, a Carpathian.
good read. kept me interested all the way through.
This is a great book. If you like reading Christine Feehan's Carpathian series, here is Vikirnoff and Natalya's story.
Another Carpathian novel. Natalaya fights vampires on her own and has done so all of her life. Vikirnoff is her soulmate and a Carpathian. Natalaya doesn't know the difference between Vampires and Carpathians. An interesting dilema they figure out together. Great story line and a lot of action with romance.
Great book! I can hardly wait for the next one to come out!
Good reading lots of romance and adventure.
Interesting twist on Vampires. Sexy & sensual.
LOVED this book. Slight twist on the Hunters, tho. A long lost 'sister' who has gone through her own personal hell finds a man who has almost been broken, escaping from his lifelong hell. The two make a wonderful team, their love and trust in each other, their 'bond'.
Joining with the Prince and Hunters, they go after the mage who has been at the root of so many problems for centuries.
Good Book!!!One I'll read again and again just to see if I missed any details, or just need a refresher in the strength of trust and love.

the story line was good. I liked the history and descripions of the world around them. I am just not a fan of romance
Christine Feehan has worked magic on a legion of fans with her darkly thrilling Carpathian tales. Now she delivers the provocative story of a female vampire slayer who proves as sedutive -- and mysterious -- as the night dwellers she stalks
I LOVE CARPATHIAN NOVELS! Feehan does it again with another great bok to her series.
Enjoyed the book. The carpathions are always fun to read
The best Carpathian novel yet!
One of my favorite books!!
One of my favorite Feehan books! This couple fights together! and they kick ass, but then Miss N is also a wizard and more of the plot of the series is revealed!!!
this book is another great in a long line of fantastic books. they always leave me axiously awaiting the next installment. if you havent read any othis series read this one and you will be hooked forever!
another good Dark book from Christine Feehan
I like this book because it has more than just romance; it has action, adventure, humor and a plot to keep the story going somewhere. It has a strong woman who is worthy of entering the action right alongside her mate or fight by herself. Natalya is willing to learn from others and use what she learns. Vikirnoff is as all Carpathian males, strong and sexy. He is willing to change his ideals of the perfect mate from June Clever to Xena the warrior princess, with a little persuasion of coarse.
This story is more than just about Vikirnoff and Natalya; it's about the Carpathian poeple fighting in a war for their very survival against very strong and smart villians.

It's a Carpathian novel... Excellent, as always, in my humble opinion.
I absolutely LOVE all things Feehan. Out of all the Carpathian novels, this one is my favorite. I love it that Natalya is a sassy warrior woman and doesn't put up with the archaic male stuff. I love it even more that Vikrinoff who has spent hundreds of years believing in traditional male female roles, loves her enough to accept her just the way she is. Doesn't the whole concept of soul mates just make you want to have one of your own? Not a marraige agreement that can be broken- but a true sharing of mind, body, and soul. A partnership where one can't and doesn't want to exist without the other?
I loved this book Christine Feehan is my favorite author. You must read all of the series you will love them.
I didn't care for this oversized tedious book that was very easy to put down, then read something better.
This has been my favorite of all of the Carpathian series.
I really enjoyed this book. Natalya is a Carpathian woman who is a fighter/warrior in her own right and takes care of business. I like that it gives more background into the Dragon Seeker heritage. Would love to read more like this. All in all a great read.
another carpathian novel sifi
this is the latest, i believe, of Christine Feehan's Dark series. it's pretty much just like all the others, so, if you can't get enough of those and read them all, i'm sure you'll love this one, too.
An interesting, exciting read. Fast, easy to follow, sometimes redundant, but a quick read.
Dark Demon!! Sigh! Natalya is wonderful and Vikirnoff just brings out the best in her. Such a strong woman and able to take care of herself. Then there are the pop culture references that had me laughing out loud when Natalya and 'Vik' argue. My oh my. The heat just builds.
I don't know why I continue to buy Feehan's books. More of the same ol' same ol'. This one includes appendices regarding Carpathian healing chants and language.
Like all her books, this one is great!!!!
Another great read in the Dark Series!! I like the way Feehan is tieing the Carpathians and the Jaguars books together.
This is one of the best in the "Dark" series. Synopsis on the book itself:
For as long as she can remember, Natalya has been fighting demons: first in the form of childhood nightmares, then later, immortal creatures that kill and prey on the innocent - including her own twin brother. Whether Carpathian or vampire, she slays those who murder by night, and has no equal - until she is seduced by the very thing she considers her enemy...
A Carpathian who has seen nearly everything in his endless existence, Vikirnoff doesn't think he can be surprise anymore - until he faces a woman who rivals him as a vampire hunter. A formidable and gifted warrior in her own right, Natalya has a nature that is strangely familiar, yet alien, to his own. Who is this mysterious female who fears no one, not even him? Natalya could be the key to the survival of the Carpathians, but all Virkinoff is certain of is that she is the key to his heart and soul.

She is the master of paranormal romances. Dark Demon was one of favorite Carpathian novels!
Oh those crazy Carpathians at it again! This one is an excellent read!
Once again ~ A GREAT book!!
Interesting read.
I have read all of Ms. Feehan's books and have loved all of them!
Good Paranormal Story!
You'll like it if you've enjoyed her earlier novels. if you haven't read any of her Carpathian novels, don't start with this one.
Christine Feehan isn't one of my favorite authors, her books all follow the same plot.
This was the best Dark book so far, it had a lot of fast paced action and a great story. Also the original cast of "Dark Prince" was back.
Love Christine, love the Carpathians. I Don't have enough good to say about them. Have never read one of the series that I didn't like.
Really goo dstory, easy reading edition (ie type is very easy on the eyes)
I still enjoy reading about the Carpathians.
Story of Natalya, part Carpathian, mage and something else, and Vikirnoff, met in earlier books.
Excellent book. Vikirnoff & Natalya are great. Many old & new characters. Can't wait for the next one.
This book is the best of the series-really sets up the next book which is the reunion of everyone. Looking forward to that one.
Wonderful book! I didn't want it to end.
If you like this series- this is a great book. Not for someone unfamiliar with the Carpathian Series. I loved these characters and learned more about the history....really good!
Enjoyable read, a little bogged down in boring details at times. I like the Demon series and this one didn't let me down.
Excellent series!
The story of Nicolae and Natalya. This book also includes a great Appendix, with Carpathian language dictionary and healing chants.
great book
Great book! Couldn't put it down.
I AM A CARPATHIAN SERIES COLLECTOR. THIS BOOK HAD A SURPRISE AND A HALF FOR ME. IN ONE OF FEEHAN'S EARLIER BOOKS SHE HAD HER CARP. IN A CRYSTAL CAVE WITH A SHADOW WARRIOR TRYING TO KILL THEM. THE CAVE HAD BEEN MADE BY A MAGICAL MAGE. IN THIS NEW BOOK, THE LIFEMATE OF THE CARPATHIAN IS A 1 -MAGE 2- NOT ALL HUMAN 3- SHAPESHIFTER (TIGER). HER SUPPOSED DEAD WHOEVER, WANTS TO KILL OFF ALL OF THE CARPATHIANS OFF AND HAVE A NEW WORLD FOR FULL TERROR. THIS IS A MUST READ. I NEED TO READ IT AGAIN, FOR I REALLY DID LIKE THIS ONE AS THE OTHERS. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HOOKED.
Christine Feehan writes great books especially her Carpathians series. This book was really good and I enjoyed learning more about the Simi as I think she is cute character.
I grabbed at the airport bookshop last weekend, because I had finished my other travel book. I just couldn't get into the story. I love vampires and mystical/magical plots but, for me it felt like it was dragging along... going nowhere.
I just can't finish it. I've read two other books since putting it down, and I can't bring myself to finish it.
I'm not going to give up on Ms. Feehan though... I've got a few more coming from the series and I'm going to give them my best shot.
Perhaps it's just me... Maybe you'll really enjoy it. I hate when I can't finish a book. Oh well.. that won't stop me... onward to other tomes.

Now of all the things that can happen she is seduced by the very thing she considers to be her enemy......Vikirnoff....the ultimate vampire hunter...he now runs up against Natalya and she is his rival in the killing. She doesn't fear him.....yet they are intrigued by each other and that in and of itself is dangerous.....

I actually had no clue this was a romance/sex book until I started reading it. To me, it's humor was stale, the lead character was bitchy for little reason, and the story itself was so painfully strewn throughout the story that I finished this in a day or two. Not because it was good, but because I wanted to get it over with.
I love sarcastic, strong lead characters, but the one here seemed to not have a reason for her sarcasm or enjoyment of it. It seems more like an unnecessary and poorly executed attempt to infuse the story with humor.
I won't be reading any of the other books based on this one.

While I enjoyed it, this book seemed to be non-stop battles instead of focusing on the couple. I loved the humor and by-play between the characters, but the fighting got old for me. Not my favorite of the series.
I'm a fan of the dark series but I have to say that this book left me wanting. It seemed to me Feehan spent her time trying to drag out specific settings to scenes in hopes to not divulge more of a larger plot. I normally wouldn't care but it's still not explained in the next book either - kinda like a plot that will be dragged out over a long period of time. The little bits that she divulges in this book are hard to put together enough to understand (feels like bits and pieces that will be hard to remember in a later setting).
This book's characters are the same as the other books which is nice, though can be repetitive if your expecting more (I wasn't!).
Also characters from the other books are brought in which is always GREAT!
Overall a GOOD read and if you've read others in the series a MUST read.

Another great Feehan book.
It was good but all these books are starting to seem like I'm rereading the same thing over again...
The first Christine Feehan book I ever read. I was hooked from the first page. Anyone who likes paranormal, immortal, vampire, sort of books will love it. They are a bit spicy but thats a part of charm. I have since read all her books that I can find.....
