For as long as she can remember, Natalya has been fighting demons: first in the form of childhood nightmares, then later, immortal creatures that kill and prey on the innocent--including her own twin brother. Wheter Carpathian or vampire, she slays those who murder by night, and has no equal--until she is seduced by the very thing she considers her enemy........
I absolutely LOVE all things Feehan. Out of all the Carpathian novels, this one is my favorite. I love it that Natalya is a sassy warrior woman and doesn't put up with the archaic male stuff. I love it even more that Vikrinoff who has spent hundreds of years believing in traditional male female roles, loves her enough to accept her just the way she is. Doesn't the whole concept of soul mates just make you want to have one of your own? Not a marraige agreement that can be broken- but a true sharing of mind, body, and soul. A partnership where one can't and doesn't want to exist without the other?
As usual, Feehan grabs you quickly for another one!
great read. Bonus inside includes a special appendix about the Carpathian language and healing chants.
