I loved this book and as this was my second delving into Miss Liu's writing I am already in love with it and plan to get more of her titles. I have fallen in love with the Dirk & Steele characters and I believe the rest of the books in that series are sure to be as good as this one.
If you like a touch of the paranormal in your romances and some adventure too, then Marjorie M. Liu's books are for you! Sure to be good reads that you don't want to put down, I read this particular one in about 6 hrs!

It has been awhile since I have read a Dirk and Steele book and I found this book interesting, but not great. There were references to the stories of other characters, but having been so long since I read the last ones I had trouble remembering their stories. Might be worth re-reading the previous ones, but I am not sure.
Overall it was an intersting read, just not one of my favorites of Marjorie Liu's.

Probably my favorite of the series. Jenny is related to members of both Dirk and Steele and the crazy side of the family. Perrin and Jenny met briefly when they were pre-teens and remained connected through dreams for many rears. Perrin sets out to reunite with the other Kreckeni to prevent a major disaster. He ends up reconnecting with and saving Jenny and their mental connection is restored. Both have trust issues, but that's understandable considering their assorted relatives and friends.

She was only 12 when she saw the silver boy on the beach. (A merman) Only she can quiet the kracken which is awakening in the bottom of the ocean. Great book! New Idea's!!

This is the first I read a book by Marjorie Lui and it wasn't bad at all. Lots of action and emotional roller coaster between Jenny and Perrin. I might be readying more of Lui's books in the future.
Excellent author great characters! Am reading the entire series.
