Marcus Stiller, along with two of his students, finds a growing, red spot on the moon. As the world wonders what the cause might be, Stiller struggles with the truth of science and faith - two worlds he thought stood alone, but now is not so sure.

We are introduced to Julie Waal, a character surrounded by deception, and the reader is taken on a journey through mental illness and horrors involved. Add a three-named-professor-stalking-nutcase and you have some serious plots to intertwine.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Rooted for characters I wouldn't have expected, even felt like I was them and throwing my fist into the air! The last book I was this involved was The Incumbent, and that was great too!

The book was very predicable. There were basically three different stories that you knew would eventually come together. It was a decent read. Fascinating? Hardly. The main character was well written.

The characters were ok, some were memorable, others not so much. The story was a 5 out of 10. I didn't like how some of the parts were wrapped up or the loose ends.

I bought this at .99 cent store or Dollar tree store....that should have been a hint.

Not sure I would give that author another shot.

I had a little bit of trouble getting past the blood at the beginning of this book. It was so scary, I would not have kept reading if it had been a less trustworthy author! But Gansky has proven himself over and over again, so I kept reading. This was a great mix of modern science, astronomy, psychology, politics, prophecy - sanity & truth vs. deceit & terror.
