In "Dark Moon" Dr. Elise Hanover spends all her time alone in a research facility trying to find a cure that would eradicate lycantrophy. Test subjects, volunteers from prison, are housed in the basement behind bars. Her most notorious convict is Billy Bailey, a vicious murderer. Along comes FBI agent Nic Franklin, an old boyfriend of Elise's. As they step outside to see why the caged wolves are howling the facility blows up. The adventure starts...
This book is fast paced, fun to read, and has a romantic slant. With Elise and Nic on the run, the chase is on away from the group who wants to stop the research and away from Bill Bailey who managed to escape and has revenge on his mind. The chase is also on for Nic who is determined to win Elise back.

Great continuation of this werewolf series. Dark Moon focuses on Elise Hanover the scientist briefly mentioned in the two previous books. The book explores her character and her relationship with Edward. Of course, the doom of werewolf apocalypse craziness is there too. A few steamy scenes but not quite as Skinamax as the previous books.

Great book! Elise came across as an ice princess in the previous book, but here she's funny as hell and she holds her own alongside crazy Jessie and hard-core Leigh. Great ending, too.

I've read to books in this series and as I don't mind fluff....this is weightless fluff. Plot devices abound.....characters are about as deep as a puddle....I think that bothers me more than anything else. I love good characterizations.

This is the second book I have read by this author. I am really enjoying the series, and am looking forward to reading more. I read this book in less than a day. Just couldn't put it down.

I bought this book on a whim and then I didn't really want to read it, but I'm glad that I did! I read it at the end of October and it was perfect for that time of year. The characters are believeable, so are the settings and the storyline. I'll read another of this series again in late October.

From the back cover:

When dusk falls, nightmares become reality - Dr Elise Hanover quite literally lives for her job-since quitting would mean meeting a silver bullet with her name on it. She works alone, struggling to unlock the mysteries of an affliction that should only exist in nightmares. But Elise knows from personal experience just how real it is. Because the first time its deadly power pulsed through her veins was the last time she saw the love of her life. Until now...

And forbidden Passion is unleased...The suprise visit from FBI agent Nic Franklin is merely the first in a series of shocks. After her lab is firebombed and her most bloodthirsty test subject escapes, Elise and Nic have no choice but to join forces. Unfortunately, the situation in remote Fairhaven, Wisconsin, is far from safe: Nic has too many questions about Elise's work and why she deserted him years ago: townfolk are disappearing, and Elise feels her own condition intensifying in ways as terrifying and exhilarating as her rekindled attraction to Nic. Now, as a shadowy evil closes in, it's becoming all too clear that Elise is the only one who can stop it-if it doesn't stop her first...
