A really fascinating story about a little known tragedy.

Excellent book! This is a non-fiction story that reads like a novel. A peek into a period in American history that many have forgotten or never known about, with many details about the war and anarchists of the time. The characters bring the tale to life. A great read for anyone, especially history buffs, a must-read for Bostonians.

Non-fiction, but reads like a novel. Couldn't put it down.
A fascinating story! My father swears he remembers being able to smell molasses years later in the North End of Boston when he was growing up. The writing style reminded me of "A Civil Action" - a true story written like a suspense novel, with very real characters.

Interestingly presented history. One of those bits that usually miss the more common history books yet has quite a bearing on our history.
