Helpful Score: 3
I love how the author makes each novel of this series a stand alone book, yet keeps Regan and Mitch as an ongoing sub plot. If you are looking for a "Romantic Suspense", go elsewhere. Mariah Stewart is pure "Mystery Thriller". Stewart's stories, such as this dark tale, clearly shows that she enjoys her work. It also shows how twisted and devious her imagination is! As you read, do not assume that you know who the killer is. Terrific addition to the "Truth" series.

love all of her books. this is a great story line.
Murder destroyed Nina Madden's life when her father was convicted of murder in their small town. He dies in prison while awaiting appeal & 16 years later murder returns to their town again with imilarities that Nina nor the cop who pursued the original case, can ignore. Excellent who-dunnit leaving you breathless!!!
Good read
Murder didn't end Nina Madden's life--it destroyed it. When her father was charged with the serial killings of several college students, Nina and her stepmother became pariahs in their small Maryland town. Though Nina never believed the hideous accusations, evidence led to her father's conviction and guaranteed the death penalty. When her father died in prison, his case still on appeal, Nina left Stone River and never looked back..but she couldn't shake the lingering doubts. More than 16 years later, those doubts are stirred to grim life. A new series of murders is plaguing Stone River: a killing spree that bears a striking resemblance to the one that sent Nina's father to prison.
Another excellent book in the "Truth" series!!
Excellent book!
MARIAH STEWART STORIES ARE UNPUTDOWNABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***** Third in series, very good.
First book I have read by this author and it was great. I finished it in just a few hours.
Good book, would like to read the rest in the series.
This is part of the Truth series. Great book. Definately read the whole series.
Good story line, my husband even read it.

Another good red by Stewart! So far all her books have been very readable!
This book was a disappointment. It was soooo predictable (up to a point) and the heroin wasn't an especially likeable person until very near the end.
Combo of mystery and romance.
Part of the Stewart's "Truth" Series, this book has Nina Madden, the literay agent for Regan Landry, first seen in an early book, teaming up with Wes Powell, FBI agent and Regan to prove Nina's father innocent of murder.
Another excellent mystery by Mariah Stewart. Some of the same characters are back from _Cold Truth_ but the central character is new. This series 'probably' doesn't need to be read in order, but it would be better, I think.
Quick read...I liked the first two in the series better though.
Love this series! Great book!
I KNEW WHODUNNIT RIGHT AWAY, BUT FOUND OUT IN THE END I HAD NOT REALLY FIGURED THE WHOLE THING OUT. IT'S A FUN SERIES WITH CHARACTERS YOU REALLY LIKE. THIRD IN THE "TRUTH" SERIES.
This book really keeps you guessing and the ending is truly a surprise.
will the truth set her free -or set a trap?
in matters of crime there are many versions of the truth.murder destroyed her family. and now it's back to finish the job.

great book!
another in a four-book series - and another fun read, with a serial killer thrown in for good measure
Excellent reading! One of my favorite authors ... she never disappoints!
Only Mariah Stewart, I can't wait to get the next one.
Great conclusion to this 3 part romantic suspense series. Great.
Great book in this wonderful series!
Great book. It kept me on my toes trying to figure out who done it!
Great series by a wonderful and consistent author!
3rd in the "Truth" series. Unfortunately I figured out who done it in the first 41 pages, didn't even need to peek to the last pages except to confirm my beliefs. I continued reading to see exactly "how" it happened, and was NOT dissapointed! Good book!
Good book, takes interesting direction with Regan.
Stewart is always fun to read...although ending is just a little too hard to believe!
Wondrful book in the Truth series
What a twisted web Stewart weaves. The book kept me going into the wee hours of the morning.
3rd book in series.

When her father was charged with the serial killings of several college students, Nina and her mother became pariahs in their small Maryland town. Though Nina never believed the hideous accusations, evidence led to her father's conviction and guaranteed the death penalty. After the execution, Nina left Stone River to escape the hatred and persecution . . . but she couldn't shake the lingering doubts.
More than twenty years later, those doubts are stirred to grim life. A new series of murders is plaguing Stone River: a killing spree that bears a striking resemblance to the one that sent Nina's father to the death chamber. And Nina isn't the only one disturbed enough by the gruesome events to take notice. Wes Powell, the cop who pursued the original case, can't ignore the eerie similarities between the crimes . . . nor their harrowing implications. Drawn back into a mystery that refuses to die, Nina and Wes will cross paths on their dangerous quest-and find themselves in the crosshairs of a bloodthirsty predator.

Enjoyed the story; light reading - doesn't get too deep.
Mariah Stewart has moved to the top of my favorite author list! I love the way she connects to her FBI characters from past novels, particularly profiler Dr. Anne Marie McCall, the protagonist from Dead End. Am now reading Final Truth and eagerly awaiting the arrival of more Stewart titles.
Book is in great conditions!
