This series is not so different than other paranormal romance series. But i really like the characters Ivy develops, you somehow become attached to them and want them to be together in the end. Another winning chapter in this series.
Jagr and Regan have both been held captive and tortured, Jagr for over 300 years, Regan for the last 30. Regan is soon to discover she is one of the pureblood were quadruplets stolen at birth. Darcy, Styx's mate wants her sisters found. So Styx sends Jagr to bring Regan back to Chicago. He understands her need for revenge. And she finds an ally in his understanding for her need for vengeance, she feels safe with him once she finally admits she loves him. And as always Levet the bumbling gargoyle is along for the ride as the comic relief.

Her previous books are much better, this seemed to drag a little. The interaction between the main characters was predictable! An OK read!

Jagr and Regan are both from the same mold of distrust due to years of tormenting both of them endured. The book was fast paced and enjoyable to read. Left me waiting to read the next book, which is not the case in the other books of this series. Bks 1-4 could stand on there own whereas this one leads you on to wonder what has happen to the third of the sisters. It also hints to the WereWolf king finally having a mate of his own, not merely a broodmare.

I love this series! I've had #6 for a while, but forced myself to find #5 first. I like that both the heroes and heroines have their baggage to sort out, sometimes the baggage being the common thread joining them. Each one becomes my favorite. Can't wait to finally start on #6!

Enjoyable read. The reclusive vampire hero is sent to rescue the vampire king's sister-in-law - who doesn't want to be rescued. By anyone. Especially a vampire with control issues...
