An original plot featuring a heroine who acts on an unlikely yet bold scheme (totally works for me) and an injured, isolated hero who finds himself completely smitten but unwilling to pursue a future with her because of his health issues. It's a love tale that's not only deeply romantic, it also emotionally sound. The sexy bits...oh the sexy bits! I was on pins and needles. I appreciated that the author didn't give Alexander and Kitty a convenient, conventional ending; it was perfect for them. This was my first novel by Reid and oh what an impression it made! I may even have found my newest fave author. 4.5 stars.
