This is oriented to teens to 20's who are starting to date. It encourages no sex; religion, refernces God .. and although religion is not for me, it's done in a tasteful polite way that is okay for anyone.
The book really touches on "trueisms" and the facts of dating - not to lie, not to accept liars, to be true and unique to yourself, and to believe and know there is someone who is a good match and a good person out there for you - don't settle for someone.
It talks about the reality of past relationships, patterns of behavior, and that it is part of a person's character how they act: you can't change them, if you don't like them, or their actions, choose someone else.
Being 37 I appreciated the candor and honesty of this book. I'd keep it for my daughters if they were teenagers, but since they have 10 years til that I'll pass it along.
Also : the book pages are covered with fun doodles and little colored call-outs: really easy to read/not heavy reading at all.
Overall: a fun and worthwhile book!

This is a wonderful book and has had such a positive influence on many young people's lives. Lookadoo's humor and perspective is fresh and unprecedented in reaching young teens! In response to a previous reviewer's statement:
"...often advising kids to imagine doing what they are doing with their significant others instead with their grandmothers..."
That's not completely true. He says to imagine showing your grandmother pictures of everything you've done physically with your SO. I personally believe it's a great reminder and holds you to a higher standard than what is taught in today's culture. If you're looking to rise above what everyone accepts as "normal" and live passionately according to God's standards, Lookadoo is a great resource.

This book is really great! I have found a lot of useful info for my family.
Great book to get the basics of what to look for and what not to look for in starting to date. They give really good advice and help you make the right choices when situations come along in the dating scene.
This is a cute way to finding out what guys (or girls) are thinking when they are getting to that "dateable" age.
It's all here. they expose the inside world of guys and girls in this tell all book
My daughter was disappointed with this book. She heard Justin Lookadoo speak at her state FFA Convention and really liked him. She did not like this book at all. She said it wasn't anything at all like how he did public speaking. Maybe someone else will like it.
This book is a feminist's nightmare. Its view on sex is demeaning and damaging, often advising kids to imagine doing what they are doing with their significant others instead with their grandmothers, implying both that what they are doing is gross and that their grandmothers are gross. It strongly supports the idea that sexual boundaries are and should be largely determined by the woman, who, by the way, needs to close her mouth in order to be "mysterious".
Disturbing and horrible. I had moral issues listing this book here.
