I wouldn't pay much for this, but worth chasing down on PBS or in the library to read with a glass of wine. It's funny in spots, but often repetitive (always the same 6 types immortals - which they refer to as "undead" even though some, like werewolves, are simply living). And a painless way to check out Gena Showalter's universe if you haven't done so before, which I hadn't.
This book was funny to start with, but then it slowly got to be a bit repetitive and boring. I think if they had slimmed it down to an actual magazine size, it would have been good to go. The best stuff was the funny ads for all the undead products. I loved that stuff!
Oh my goodness! This is laugh-out loud hilarious! My favorite parts were the advertisements- think U.P.T. = Undead Pregnancy Test (so you know who or what you're having!). What I didn't care that much for? I realize she's one of the co-authors, but did we really need the Lord of the Underworld plugs? (yes, that's plural)
