I was so disappointed with this book. It was very graphic regarding fighting, war, and murder. I stick to Christian based books because I typically find them an emotionally safe place to be, this was not. I started the second book in the series and simply could not finish it. It may have been historical, but if I want all the gory details of that historic time frame, I would have picked a secular book series on the topic.
