A very good read. I love a good romance novel that is deeper than just a romance. I love how Barbara can create such intricate stories that are so believable.

A wonderfully moving story about how our mistaken impressions can alienate us from the ones who truly love us most. 3 sisters dealing with the hurt & estranged feelings over their 'aloof' mother are brought together in their mother's final days & learn that not only do feelings run deep but life's reasonings sometimes run deeper.
Keep the tissue box handy because the connection you'll feel with these gals will bring your own childhood feelings to the surface.

I've read several books lately and this is definitely one of my very favorites. The ending is a little "pat" and comes out sweet, but by the end of the book I liked the characters so well that I WANTED them to have a happy ending!
I am a great fan of Barbara Delinsky. This is a story about a mother and her three daughters.
Moving tale of three estranged sisters that learn about themselves and their Mother-right before it's too late. A very good read.
This is a wonderfully written story of a mother's love and need to reconnect with her grown daughters, who feel they were unloved and neglected by a cold and indifferent mother as they grew up. The three daughters not only grow close to each other but also find out why their mother was seemingly so distant. As they find out about their mother, they also discover things about themselves they were reluctant to admit. A really hard-to-put-down book ..... and you feel so good at the end.
Oh!! what a LOVE story. Very romantic and dreamy.

A really incredible story of family relationships - sister to sister - and mother to daughter - plus a reminder about how the choices we make in life affect our life. Great read!
Delightful story of four women facing their past & getting to know one another. I read it in one day.
A romance with much suspense
Another good one for Delinsky fans.
Different but a very good book
I really enjoyed reading this book. Barbara Delinsky's so great.
Another great one from Barbara Delinsky.
Estranged sisters Caroline, Annette, and Leah St. Clair have spent their lives trying to escape the legacy of their wealthy, aloof, social-climbing mother, Virginia -- each losing a certain part of herself in the process. Now, on the eve of her seventieth birthday, Virginia has asked them all to help her get settled into her magnificent new estate on the rocky coast of Maine, a request each sister reluctantly agrees to, thinking it may be her mother's last.
But it is Virginia who has something to give to the daughters she neglected in childhood. For amid the glories of a New England summer, three sisters will finally learn the answers to the questions that have troubled them for years . . . and new truths that will stay with them forever.
It's a great love story, but much more than that. Expect to shed a tear, and a few smiles. A great book!

From the back: "From the New York Times bestselling author of Suddenly and Together Alone, comes this touching novel of the many facets and the eduring power of love, the tenacious strength of family, and the choices we make that determine who we are."
Barbara Delinsky's books are so heartwarming. This is a tale about sisters who have nothing in common but meet and find out their mother is their bond.
excellant, excellant, book! wish I had read it sooner! wonderful read.
Everything I've read of Barbara Delinsky's has entertained me, made me think and given me a different perspective. It is a good read--realistic, touching, inspiring. Would make a great movie!
