My two year old loves this book. It's one of those kids books where you have to say more about each page than the words that are there, like "What is David doing now?". It's a good book to have a conversation with your child while reading it.

This is by far one of my 2 boys favorites to read! It is easy to read and also funny. A good book to help the little ones start to recognize simple words and start to read on their own.

I began reading this to my 2-year-old preschool group years ago, and it was always their favorite. Not only is it great to begin associating children with "sight words" but it is also a great book for children who are asserting their independence and hear that dreaded "No"! The ending is sweet and satisfying, and the illustrations are funny and depict a curious, devilish little boy who is exploring, and shaking up, the world around him. My little boy loved this book when he was small and my little girl loves it too. I recommend it for all parents! Even the smallest toddler will have it memorized before they recognize the sight words!
Great book! Caldecott Honor Book! David Shannon is a great author.
My two year old son loves this book! He begs me to read it to him and also can read it to himself (or just basically loves saying "No David!" at every page!
my daughter and lil sister love this book and i just fell in love with it :)
This book actually scared my 2-year-old girls. I know people rave about it but...I will put it off for a while.
This book is really great. My 4-year-old great-grandson always chooses it and likes to say "No, David" right along with me.
My grandson loves this, and all of the David books. They are great for pre-readers and older toddlers.
When parents say "NO" young children keep doing what they were about to do. Kids have no problem identifying with this mischievous David. Hopefully, parents will begin to have more empathy for their own children who just can't stop when you say NO.
I got this for my daughter but we don't really like it, so we are willing to pass it on.
Our granddaughter loves this book because it's one SHE can read to us :-)
