Delightful children's book! This story takes place on the busy streets of Cairo, where Ahmed is completing his daily duty of delivering cooking gas to customers. On this particular day, Ahmed is patiently waiting for his workday to end so that he can share a secret with his family--he has learned to write his name.

A delightful story, set in the Middle East, about a boy who learns to write his own name. Remarkable illustrations and rich text gives a neat view of his culture at the same time as it weaves an intriguing story line.
