Very short novel about one dysfunctional couple's 24-hour reaction to the terrorist attacks of September 11th. Long, richly descriptive narrative passages. Beautifully written. More like a long short story than a novel, though. NY/LI-ers will appreciate the local references. Survivors of the attacks may find it too painful.

I found this book sad and not very inspirational.
