A talk radio host in a small town gets a phone call from a little girl asking for help but she can't tell him where to find her and who is hurting her. He must piece together clues and rescue the girl and her mother from the hands of a cult that worships animals and practices ritual sacrifices and unspeakable amounts of child abuse.
Some descriptions of sexual abuse and rituals are graphic and disturbing. Care should be taken by readers who are troubled by such things.
Overall, I liked the book in spite of it's heavy nature. The story is supposed to be based on true events and it reads like all those satanic cult stories of the 80s. Whether you read it as 100% fiction or not doesn't matter, it was full of action and worth the time it took to read. Glad I picked it up.

This book was a real nail-biter! I have to say, from the very first pages of the book, the story just took off. I was carried along with the plot and got to know the characters right away. I have to say, there were parts of the storyline of a young girl being used by an occult group which described what was required of her sexually in these rituals that began to turn me off. However, after that point, I was able to move on and was so very glad that I did. As a result, at the end of the book, I realized that while names were changed, this was someone's true story.
Do NOT neglect to read part two of this book entitled, "Abaddon". It too picks up where the last book left off, and is just as riviting as the first!

A young girl kidnapped by a secret cult calls a radio station, launching the talk show host on a search to find and rescue her before she can be used in a gruesome human sacrifice ritual.
I enjoyed this book and found it very intense at times. It was disturbing in parts.
