Brenda Novak did an unbelievable job on this novel. It is a continuation of the Stillwater,MS murder. I could not put the book down and I don't know if I can wait til Aug. for the next one.
This is the second book in this series. It involves a mother, her daughter, son and step-daughter. Did they or anyone of them kill their husband, father, step-father? Dead Giveaway features the step-son, Clay Montgomery and Allie McCormick, a cold-case detective from Chicago returning to her hometown with her daughter after a divorce. She must solve the cold-case but will her feelings for Clay get in the way?

This is a must read series. Great story line. Keeps you wanting to turn page after page. This time it's Clay who is finding love in his life & having to decide to let the past control him or move on.

This second book of the series continued to held my interest and I felt even more interest in how the truth was going to come to light. I strongly recommend this series.
Just when I thought everything would turn out fine for everyone involved in this story, the last page throws that whole thought out the window. Now I'm looking forward to reading the third book in the series to see what happens with Grace, Clay, Allie and everyone else in Stillwater.

The Reverend Lee Barker went missing 19 years ago...and the people of Stillwater, Miss., believe they know why. They're convinced he was murdered by his stepson - Clay Montgomery. But only Clay- and his mother and sisters- can say for sure. They were the only ones there that fateful night, the only ones who know what really happened. And they are not talking.
I really enjoyed this book....will definitely be reading more by this author.

Is it ever Okay to do the wrong thing for the right reason? This is the second novel about the Montgomery family and I am looking forward to the third of the series.
