This was wonderful and very entertaining. Throughly enjoyed book 2 and am looking forward to the next. Characters are developing and becoming more real in each story. Nice twists and turns with different avenues branching off the storyline. Engaging.

I do enjoy historical mysteries, but this book had a bit too much malevolence for my tastes. Even so, medically speaking, it was true to its era. I did finish it, but scanned the most gruesome parts.
