Another excellent mystery where Kate is in peril most of the time, and barely survives the undercover job out on a small fishing boat, the evil henchmen and the ocean itself. Again, she is an Amazon of many talents, clever and resourceful, packed into a 5 foot package of guts and determination to bring the bad guys in.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, and another winner. can't wait for the next ones.

Dead in the Water is a thoroughly enjoyable book. My husband and I both liked it. What probably added to our enjoyment was watching the TV series, DEADLIEST CATCH for all the years it was on. There's a little local native history thrown in for more interest..Ms Stabenow was raised on a fishing trawler so she truly knows her stuff.and Kate Shugak has more than nine lives!
