Out of the 14 Stuart Woods books I have read, "Dead in the Water" was the best. It is full of suspense all the way and it has an ending that is a big surprise.
Easy reading. No lulls here!
Check out the movie after you've read this book. Very well read and extremely well adapted.

Fast-paced, filled with enought humor, sex, and clever surprises all the way to the last page to make it thoroughly entertaining amusement.

This is a page turner. It will keep you guessing right up to the end.

The story continues through the affair with the accused to the conclusion of the trial.
Be warned that the love scenes between Stone and his client are very graphic and may not be to everyone's taste.
The elements of the story and the conclusion are a bit jaw dropping.
All in all, I enjoyed the book.

One of his best. This is a fast paced page turner.
Heads up for those who don't wish a lot of sexual references - this book contains many.
As always, a good read from Stuart Woods.

As all of us, Stone Barrington dreams of a tropical vacation during the middle of a harsh winter season in New York. This now lawyer, ex-cop is now finding himself defending Allison Manning who has been accused of killing her husband and burying him at sea.
Excellent reading, excellent author.

A Stone Barrington novel. In this one, he actually participates in a trial as defense attorney. The situation is bizzare and the plot twists and turns right to the end.

Stone isn't exactly conversant with the island country's law, but this much is clear to him: Allison is being railroaded bythe perverse sense of justice of a prosecutor who will do anything to stay in office. Donning the robe and wig of a British barrister, Stone does everything he can to save Allison, from publicizing the case all over the American press to conduct the kind of smart, tough investigation that money can't buy. Just when he has the jury in the palm of his hands, a shocking reversal of fortune changes everything. And what was once a sure thing begins to look a lot like a death sentence.

I like Stone Barrington, he can get into so many situations--this wasn't hard to figure out but it was still a good read and easy to read.
