Sheriff Joanna Brady is now expecting her second child and deals with two brutal crimes in this latest novel by J A Jance. This one involves a savage assault on one of her own offices as well as that of a stranger. It is very good and I couldn't put it down once I started it. If you are a J A Jance fan, you won't be disppointed. If you haven't read one of the Joanna Brady books, this is a good one to try!

Excellent read. Sheriff Joanna Brady, days away from delivering her son, finds herself trying to solve three crimes including the attempted murder of one of her own officers. The story is fast-paced, full of action and leaves you puzzled until the very end. Quite an adventure!

Another page-turner by Jance. Very well-written and suspenseful. Joanna Brady juggles two crimes while at the end of her second pregnancy. Never a dull moment.
I have been following Joanna through may escapades. The plots are getting a to repetitive.

Joanna Brady wins her re-election for Sheriff and is expecting her baby very soon, but in the meantime, crime doesn't stop in Cochise County, Arizona. While juggling surprise visitors at home, as well as a surprise baby shower, Joanna continues to multi-task at work...no matter what is thrown her way. She's a strong, level-headed, crack-shot, independant woman that we can all strive to be and this book does not dissappoint. Highly recommend. Plenty of twists and turns...right up to the very end!
