Rebecca Butterman's post divorced life is finally coming to a peaceful point. That is until her neighbor appears to have committed suicide and the editor of her advice column wants her to try and spice up her column with a foray into online dating. Throw in a somewhat attractive but cranky police detective and you have an interesting start to a new series. This book is different than most cozies, Isleibs background as a psychologist makes this book read more like a psychology textbook than a typical mystery.

Really good mystery with interesting psychological insights, which is to be expected since Isleib is herself a clinical psychlogist. I hope the author plans to continue the sleuthing exploits of Dr. Rebecca Butterman, psychologist and advice columnist.

The sleuth is a psychologist who writes advice columns, has problems with her own life, and is very likeable. Plot is tight and writing is good. Hope we have more of these!

Oh, I loved this cozy! First in the series and I can't wait for the next one. This had me guessing all the way until the end. The main character, Dr. Rebecca Butterman, is likeable and real.

Interesting mystery featuring therapist and advice columnist, Rebecca Butterman, who on the cusp of 40 is dealing with her own divorce and suddenly the death of a neighbor. Was it murder or suicide? When the dead woman's mother seeks Rebecca's help in finding the answer she finds herself tossed into the dating scene, to the delight of her magazine editor.

Normally it ends up that i never read anything in the proper order, just happens that way, i take life as it comes, but i did start this series with book #1 and it was pages stuffed with mystery and murder and fun. Not cheesy like some fluffy reads. I liked this one.

This book had it all for me. An interesting lead character, a surprise ending, and a twist at the end that lets you know that you didn't know the lead characters as well as you thought you did by the end of the book. It only leaves you hungering for more!

Highly recommended!
