I was so excited to see that this story was about Deputy Ryan, who was my favorite law enforcement officer, and the reporter I wasn't sure I would like from the first book in this series. How would the author get me to like, if not love, Vivian? I didn't need to worry. In the time between the two books, Vivian and Ryan had both changed and grown.
