The cover says "An Albert Campion Mystery" but this is not true. The series hero does not appear in these two readable stand-alone novellas.
A great, good story, plot, characters --- and great because it's a bit older book but they could tell a great story in just a few pages!
This book contains two short novels by Allingham.
"Wanted : Someone Innocent" is only 81 pages long and is a very good mystery. The ending was a surprise to me. I felt Allingham did an exceptionally good job with this one and the ending will more than satisfy those with an interest in romance.
"Last Act" is 114 pages long and could have been shorter. I felt it was a bit drawn out and at times was confusing. However, while it had its share of suspects, the ending was also a surprise.
As noted in another review, Allingham's "Albert Campion" makes no appearance in either of these. But then in the final few of her "Campion" novels, he's not always a main character. I have three more of her novels to read and will miss her when I'm done.
