This is the first book in the "Flynn Brothers Trilogy." In it, three brothers inherit a mansion outside New Orleans that's an interesting "fixer up." It comes complete with ghosts and a very interesting history.
Loved the characters in this story. The author did a good job of tying the past into the present. And it was difficult to figure out who the current serial killer was who was burying the bones at the mansion and imitating a serial killer that prowled the grounds during the Civil War.
I had a hard time putting the book down and can't wait to start the second book, "Deadly Harvest." The third book, "Deadly Gift" is also available now. I give "Deadly Night" 5 STARS!! This trilogy is gonna be great!

Aidan Flynn and his brothers inherit a Louisiana plantation from a relative they never knew, and decide to restore it. But, there are old legends and strange occurrences surrounding the house and stables, as well as in the cemetery on the grounds. And, Aidan cannot understand why he keeps seeing a "lady in white" on the balcony. At first he believes it must have been Kendall Montgomery, the woman who helped Amelia Flynn during her last days, and was at the house when Aidan and his brothers arrived. Kendall's grief for Amelia causes some resentment for the brothers, as she at first doesn't understand how they couldn't have known about Amelia, and been there for her before she died. Amelia obviously knew about them. But, as human remains are found on the property, blood on a head stone, and ghosts appear daily, Aidan and Kendall know they have to find out why past events seem to be repeating themselves in the present. Once I started reading, I could not put this one down.

I loved this book! The characters were great, it was suspenseful, spooky, and had just enough of a romantic subplot to be realistic but not cliched or annoying. The New Orleans setting was a lot of fun, and I was constantly going back and forth about who "the bad guy" was. If you like spooky mysteries that involve ghosts and voodoo, you'll like this one a lot. First in a series.

Good book, kept my interest. I'm a huge Heather Graham fan. The only negative I found to this book was the constant dreams. It was a story line that was overdone. But otherwise a good book. Look forward to reading the next two.

Very good read. Not my usual type of read, but still good. I read the Seven Brothers Trilogy by Nora Roberts and loved it. Was looking for something along the same lines. This trilogy was not as good, but still worth the read.

This is book one in a trilogy about the Flynn Brothers. They have inherited an old plantation house in New Orleans from an aunt they did not even know existed. The oldest, Aiden, is a former FBI agent who left the agency after the death of his wife. His introduction to the Big Easy is an unnerving one. While walking along the muddy banks of the Mississippi he finds a human thigh bone with pieces of flesh clinging to it. He imagines the coroner will be interested in such a find, but not so. Aiden is remind in no uncertain terms that not long before, right after Katrina, bones and bodies could be found everywhere. His find means nothing. Or does it?
Until the death of Amelia Flynn, Kendall Montgomery had cared for the elderly lady who had spent her entire life at the plantation. This is where she wanted to die. The first Heather Graham book I read and I did enjoy it. She does an excellent job of keeping you guessing and not knowing "who done it" til the very end. However, if you've read one of her books, you've read them all.

I think that I just don't like Heather Graham as an author. This is the second book of hers that I have read and I did not like either one of them. This book started off interesting but just didn't live up to what I was expecting. The ending was so unbelievable that it wrecked the whole book for me.

Deadly night is one of those books that makes you want to keep reading to find out who dun-it! The ending was a bit of surprise. I thought it was going to a dumb paranormal kind of book. But really it wasn't. That was just part of the story line. It has a bit of nice romance the old fashion kind with some up to date kind. It takes place after Katrina also. So it isn't to out dated!

Enjoyable read! I loved Heather Graham's description of New Orleans; it makes me want to go down to Bourbon Street and hang out. I enjoyed the folklore of southern history that flavored the book.
Starting out with a flashback to the Civil War, Heather quickly draws you in and the story takes off. Its a good who done it with several characters that make you wonder if it could be them. I like that about Heathers style, she will keep you guessing who it is till the end - but you are introduced to the killer and will know who he or she is.

I typically don't like paranormal stories but I enjoyed this one. There was mystery and a bit of romance but I love books w/ characters that carry in to other stories...Great read.
I absolutely loved this book. I got hooked on Heather Graham's books from the very first one I read. This book starts off with a glimpse of the past where the legend of the ghosts comes from. And continues to give flash backs throughout the book. I like it when an author does that rather than just tell you what happened. I have always loved watching and reading about the paranormal. And if you enjoy that then you will enjoy the 3 books in this series. I couldn't put them down!!!!
The first in a new series for the Flynn brothers and another Heather Graham book based in and around New Orleans. This book was a bit more on the creepy side but very entertaining. A good cozy read on a chilly night.
Another good read with lots of twists and turns to keep you on the edge!

WOW great character descriptions and wonderful who done it story line superb blending of past to present, a real page turner I am looking forward to reading the next two of this series.
