I have read all of Swain's books and enjoyed them. This one should be read before you read "Deadman's Bluff" as the latter is someting of a continuation of the same story.
Tony Valentine doesn't let us down. Great schemes, continuous action, and an ending that leaves you hanging (see Deadman's Bluff). There is also comic relief in the form of an aging poker champion and a couple bumbling criminal friends of Tony's son. It is a great way to spend an afternoon.
Great book! Easy read.

Typical James Swain book with a little more action thrown in. Covers the world of professional poker playing.
A different type of mystery but I enjoyed it.

Another good entry in this author's series. If you enjoy gambling, Las Vegas, and mysteries, you'll enjoy this book. Helpful if you have read the author's previous books.
If you like 'Vegas' type (con men, gamblers, murder, this is for you!)

Toney Valentine goes to Las Vegas and tried to uncover who is cheating at the world's largest poker tournament.
Another winner with an anti-hero. Fun and actually informative.
Excellent story, except---I didn't realize it is book 1 and there is a book 2, I was disappointed with the ending until I found out it is continued so beware of that, other than that it is another excellent Tony Valentine story.
