I don't know where to start. While the premise of this book was interesting and the storyline different it just didn't capture my attention. It took me forever to get through. I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters or their plight.
I felt like I never really understood the background of the events as they were unfolding and it was never adequately explained in a way that made it plausable. I just didn't know what made the "bad guy" out for revenge that lasted 150+ years. The "otherside" refrences were weird and if no one dies and goes away whats the big deal? It seemed like everyone was right there as they were except as a ghost.
The FBI, medium, CSI-esque investigation did take on a whole new twist with the urban fantasy genre and that was interesting. Almost like combining two popular culture faves into one. I just couldn't get into it.
