I read most of Tapply's later books and loved each and every one of them. I went back to read this book, his first Brady Coyne, and I admit I was disappointed. This book just didn't have it. I'm glad Tapply continued writing the series as the books get much better. He is still one of my favorite authors and I'm glad I am going back to read the earlier books in the series.
