I really enjoyed this second book in the Food and Cocktails series. Single mom Hayley Powell has a lot on her plate--two teenagers, a job at the local paper, plus writing a weekly food and cocktail column. When her country idol Wade Springer comes to town to perform a benefit concert, though, Hayley manages to become his personal chef for the duration of his visit. Then, one of the tour's roadies is killed, and Wade is the prime suspect. Hayley puts on her crime-solving hat again to find out who really killed the roadie. This mystery was a good one! The characters in this series are likable and fun.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Second book in the Food and Cocktails series. Hayley manages to get the job cooking for her favorite country singer when he comes to town for a benefit. She is in danger after one of his entourage is found murdered. Add a couple of teenagers, her lovable brother and his chief of police boyfriend, and her best friends for a tension filled ride. 3.5 stars

What a fun second book in Lee Hollis's Food and Cocktails series. Lots of excitement, lots of suspense made for no boredom on my part. Actually I enjoyed this read a lot. It didn't feel like your typical "cozy". It seemed to have a lot more depth. It was truly a bit harder to figure out who "dun it" just when you thought you knew who the bad guy was you had to think again. I enjoyed this cute read a lot. I'll search out the next in the series.

Loved this book! Likable characters, good premise, many suspects, and some red herrings along the way! And the end had a twist I did not expect! Am ordering the next in this series right now!

*I would have given it five stars, but the "articles" Hayley writes that take up three pages each and have nothing to do with the story annoyed me.
