I found Eileen Davidson's debut novel to be an interesting look into the life of a soap opera star. Alexis is a soap opera star who is being harassed by the new writer for the long running soap, The Yearning Tide. Immediately after the writer is murdered, Alexis
finds herself being the "person of interest" being accused mostly by her coworkers. Not liking that role,she sets out on pursuing her own investigation. Through interviewing her chosen suspects,an adventure begins of mystery,intrique,and being herself sought by the murderer. After trying myself to figure out who the murderer was, I had to wait until the reveal at the end of the book. I am looking forward to Ms.Davidson's next book in this new series.

I actually liked this book a lot. I wasn't sure I was going to in the beginning. While I'm not a fan of the actress who wrote it (though she didn't write it alone) I did enjoy the book. The only thing I found annoying was the end seemed a little rushed and left you hanging on a couple of things (which I assume will be continued in the next book). I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. A good first effort. Worth the read. However, if you are a cozy fan who doesn't like the F word you may have a hard time getting through this book as it appears frequently.
