Too much opera, too many superfluous characters, too long a book and unsatisfying solution to the deaths. Except for some typical Barnard witty dialogue, this was a let-down. Might be more enjoyable to opera fans (especially Rigoletto).

Good read.

Nicely fleshed out characters, and a surprising twist at the end.

Obnoxious singer Gaylene is found murdered in front of her dressing room. There are plenty of suspects - not only was she rude, but also had several lovers. But even though nobody really liked her - was it enough to murder her?
