A great story by M.M. Kaye. Written during the early years of the 20th century. She actually lived in Kenya for a bit, so her story is true to the land and the times.
The back of the book says that this is a classic and I suppose if you like a more erudite, cerebral read, it's for you.
I love this author and think all her books are great.
