I finished it so it wasn't horrible but I have read better. This author could be great, she's very amusing, but I just can't rave about her series. She has too much going on in too few pages and there really is no connection with any of her characters.

Good mystery.

One of her best books ever! A tour through France where Murphy's law reigns supreme. Lots of laughter for me as the problems continued.

3rd book in the Carolyn Blue culinary mystery series
Helpful Score: 1
This is the third book in the Carolyn Blue series, and so far it's my favorite. All the clues are there, and very clear, if you pay attention, but it's still hard to guess until towards the end. I caught on when Childeric said something towards the beginning and then later on when the "bad person" posted a certain phrase in his/her journal.
But be warned, the last page will break your heart!

"Accidents" befall a group of academics in a culinary tour de France.

a culinary mystery set in France with recipes.
Helpful Score: 1
The main character, Carolyn Blue, writes a cooking column. She loves to travel and check out different restaurants and find new and exciting recipes but usually gets involved in some sort of mystery too.
Book #3 finds Carolyn and Jason in France on a tour with several other academics. Several other very cranky academics. I'm not sure I would have had the courage to stay on the whole tour after all the accidents, and sniping back and forth between the group members. This is an excellent read and one I had a hard time putting down.
