This is a quirky book, maybe I should've read the first in the series before I read this one, I think I would've had a better feel for the characters then. But I wanted to read a Christmas mystery during Christmas. I liked it, although I figured out the mystery before the sleuth did and I'm still puzzled why western Pennsylvanians talk like they live further south. The finish was very dramatic and found it difficult to put down. I now feel I should read the first in the series before I read anymore.
