1986 edition of this 1938 classic. If you've never read a Rawson mystery before you're in for a treat. In this story the magician/detective The Great Merlini takes on witchcraft, murder and mayhem, and making up crazy verses as he goes.
I enjoy classic mysteries and I have no idea how I missed Merlini until now. A fun romp through illusion and misdirection with the suspects all being masters at it. Interwoven with skilled locked room mystery on top of it and it's a wonderful classic mystery.
