This book is the second in the series of books about Amory Ames. It is set in London in the 1930's which is a favorite era of mine. Amory and her husband Milo are still in a glow after the murder they solved 2 months ago. Then things begin to get rocky for them again. Amory is asked by a friend to help her find out who is stealing her jewelry. The result is a murder at a masked ball given by Lord Dunmore, the notorious and handsome playboy. There are a plethora of cues that don't make sense. The daring duo try to figure it out all the while she is trying to figure out what she wants from Milo divorce or a second chance. This is a delightful tale that is beautifully written. I can't wait to read the next book!
Second Amory Ames mystery....Death at a Masked Ball....was it Suicide or Murder? Was the death linked to missing jewels that Amory was searching for! And what about all those rumors regarding her dashing husband? Enjoyed the book and will read the next addition in the series!
