slow and dull--not for me
This is a strong start to a promising new series. I can't resist a series with a dog! This book is quite long, and in parts the pacing slowed a bit, but overall I liked the characters of Jess and Burke enough to keep the reading.
They do need to get a better collar and lead for Lucy the dog though. She always seems to be either running around off leash and getting lost, or slipping her collar. Looking for lost Lucy was probably 5% of the book.
