Wow! One of Dick Francis' best, this is about a dad of 6 boys, who is an extraordinary architect, and gets inadvertently entangled in the bombing of a race track and the crazy family that owns it. It is endearing, intriguing and fast-paced. I couldn't put it down.

Dick Francis writes suspenseful novels about the world of horse-racing. In this one, an architect inherits a partial ownership in a racecourse and with it, a dangerous relationship with the warring family trying to settle its fate. The architect wants to restore the racecourse to its former grandeur, but the other heirs have different plans...an explosion rocks the grandstand, and the architect and his family are in danger.
Another fun Dick Francis. Not too deep, not too violent, quickly sketched characters
Typical Dick Francis: Keeps you guessing right to the end.
