I love the Carlotta Carlyle character. Couldn't wait to finish the book. I'm looking forward to reading more of this author's books.
I did not read this book. My husband did, and he liked it a lot. From the back: Harvard professor Wilson Chaney has a secret and somebody knows it. His adulterous affair with a freshman ended just weeks before she wound up dead. The sole trace of his infatuation is a stack of missing love letters -- and they've fallen into the wrong hands. Carlotta Carlyle takes the case to find his blackmailer and retrieve the letters. Six-foot-one and red-haired, this private eye doesn't blink when the going gets tough..... she must zero in on Boston's mean streets and talk her way into Harvard's inner sanctums, uncovering in the process just how intertwined the two are -- and just how deadly the stakes can be.
Carlotta Carlyle takes on a case for Harvard professor Wilson Chaney who is less than forthcoming with information regarding his situation. Carlotta gets intrigued as the people involved become more and more mixed up. You will like this one, Carlotta's tenth case.
Very interesting - 10th of a series. Smooth writing style with a well-thought surprise ending plot
