LOVED this book- so creepy at times- the descriptions of the creatures and what they do really spooked me...and I don't spook easily! Very worthwhile read.

Awesome read! James A. Moore is as good as they come. Stephen King better watch out for this new "KING" of Terror.

Well it's very well written but not a genre I usually read. Moore had me until the last third of the book when it disintegrated into a sort of Stephen King horror fest. I really tried to put aside all incredulity, really I did, but the walking/talking dead proved too much for me. Moore can write and if you're a fan of this sort of fiction, you will love this book.

Really enjoyed this book, as I have enjoyed all of Moore's. Wish he had more!

I haven't been this excited about a book for a long time. This was great!! Short though. Mixing human DNA and fish and all kinds of other animals. I loved this book!!

From the back cover...

THE DEEPER YOU GO
Golden Cove today appears to be a charming New England seacoast town. But there are dark stories from decades past-when the town had a different name. Captain Joe Bierden's heard them all-tall tales to entertain ther tourists, he thinks. He doesn't hesitate to hire his boat out to a research team eager to begin a month-long diving expedition.
THE DARKER IT GETS
So no one is more surprised than Captain Joe by the-thing-that the team finds in an offshore underwater cave. Their first mistake is bringing it ashore. Their second is believing it can't survive on land.
Their third is thinking it is the only one of it's kind.
