The excitement starts immediately in this electrifying legal thriller and continues throughout the book. Eddie, An ex-con man turned lawyer is forced to take on the case of the head of the Russian Mafia who kidnapped his daughter. To get her back alive he must be found not guilty. You won't want to put this book down until you find out how it ends.

If you like Jack Reacher you'll love Eddie Flynn as he does what it takes to make this an exciting action filled twister.

Usually I am religious about reading books in a series in order of publication, but based on the positive reviews, I read Thirteen first, and am now starting at the beginning. The Defense is just as good as Thirteen. It is smartly crafted with lots of surprises, and maintains a perfect balance between action and courtroom drama. Highly recommended.
