Wit and tension building suspense offset the tendency for a reader thinking, "yet again, the beautiful rich society dame in jeopardy" finds her hero, a local criminal attorney enduring a current life crisis. In "In Her Defense," you care about both the dame and the attorney though they are at their wit's end. Interesting twists and turns and the diligent full court press by Atty. O'Connell's staff and family keep the plot churning to a satisfactory ending for the "good guys"
Good thriller
Very interesting story. I really enjoyed the book.
A great read, keeps you going until the end. A courtroom mystery with a different twist. Romance, intrigue and a look inside the Washington power brokers. Although written several years ago, it's not dated at all. Up there with Grisham, Turow and Lescroart.
