An absolute classic, lays it out very well. Deming can get a little math-heavy for some people, and Walton did a good job of keeping it accessible. If you've taken college level classes based on Deming this will be a rehash for you, but if you haven't, it's really worthwhile. Especially for industrial/manufacturing settings, every manager and supervisor (and anyone who aspires to go up the ladder) MUST have a good grasp of these concepts. Even if your company doesn't directly use Deming, what they are using is likely derived from Deming's work!
"W. Edwards Deming is to management what Benjamin Franklin was to the Republic -- a conscience, a guide, a prophet, an instigator. Here in one book is an incisive summary of his wisdom".-- Robert B. Reich, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, author of the Next American Frontier
